Privacy policy

Undercut is a daily number game at undercutgame.com. This page explains what we collect when you play and what we do with it. The short version: we keep only what the game needs, we never sell your data, and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Your player name and emoji. These appear on leaderboards and in leagues.
- A profile photo, if you add one. It's cropped to a small square on your phone before upload, shown only on the boards of leagues you're in, and stored at a public link so league members can see it. You can remove it at any time in Your account.
- Your daily picks and Blind Clock times. Your number stays private until the day's reveal at midnight (Mexico City time). After that, numbers are shown as totals, and the winner's name is shown.
- Leagues you create or join. Other members of a league can see your name, emoji, and results in that league.
- If you verify your account: your email address, or your phone number if you use WhatsApp, or your name and email from Google or Apple if you sign in with them. We use these only to sign you in and to make sure each person has one verified player. They are never shown to other players.
If you play without verifying, we don't collect an email or phone number. Your player is tied to the browser on your device.
How we use it
- To run the game: record your pick, calculate results, and show leaderboards.
- To send sign-in codes when you ask for one.
- To keep the world round fair, for example by stopping one person from running several verified players.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Services we use
These companies process data on our behalf, only to run the game:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and photo storage
- Netlify: website hosting
- Resend: sends sign-in code emails
- Cloudflare: domain and the bot check that blocks automated sign-ups
- Google (and Apple, if offered): only if you choose to sign in with them
- Twilio / WhatsApp: only if you choose to get your code by WhatsApp
Cookies and storage
We store a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in, and the app keeps a small cache so it opens quickly. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Deleting your data
To delete your player and everything tied to it, email us from the address you verified with (or tell us your player name) and we'll remove it within 30 days. You can also change your name and emoji at any time in the app.
Children
Undercut isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
